The program is to help increase a bilingual and bicultural workforce in Sonoma County that can understand the importance of being healthcare providers who must move beyond one-size-fits-all approaches to develop culturally responsive perinatal mental health care, especially due to the multiple stressors Latinx mothers and families face in Sonoma County. 

Reducing stigmas to access services during such a significant time will be done through sharing knowledge of ancestral ways of healing in addition to understanding the literature of the mental health challenges that exist in motherhood and in postpartum. Participants will learn how to clinically support being a part of a family’s life during a major transformational time.
